"Through the use of simple shapes and thoughtful colors, I found that I could express a piece of myself through my art. Peaceful, serene, and beautiful are the colors that I use to express how I feel, and the simple uncomplicated shapes are the life that I am trying to obtain. It is my dream to reach people and soothe their hectic lives with quiet thoughts of inspiration.”

My journey began after a fire destroyed Little Souls, the doll manufacturing company where I worked for 11 years. My time there was invaluable. I started as a doll maker and was steadily promoted from designer to buyer to product manager. After the fire, I was faced with the fact that I had to start over and decided to return to school as an adult student at Moore College of Art & Design, majoring in graphic design and taking additional classes in illustration and textile design. It was the combination of these studies and my love for fabric and product development that guided me to a career as a tabletop and product designer where I developed successful products for several leading companies.

With 20 years of experience in product development and the desire to live a life I love, I faced my fears and made the decision to step out from behind the scenes and launch my own brand. Stephanie Ryan, was officially launched in 2011 with the introduction of Floral Fusion, a tabletop collection for Lenox. In 2012, I partnered with MHS Licensing to oversee all of my licensing opportunities so that I could concentrate on what is important to me, creating art and inspiring others to listen to their hearts and see that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself.
